Oso Negro Project (AZS 100%): Silver-Gold
The Oso Negro prospect was identified and acquired via Azure’s ongoing program of regional reconnaissance and project generation. The property is located 65km north of Azure’s Oposura Project and 65km southeast of the Company’s Alacrán Project. It comprises two concessions covering 1,275 hectares which host historical mine workings which exploited outcropping epithermal quartz veins and stockworks of quartz veining hosted in zones of strong alteration.
Quartz veins are exposed over lengths of up to 800m and reconnaissance sampling of veins, selvages and dumps by Azure returned many high grades of silver (up to 2,680g/t Ag) and gold (up to 100.5g/t Au). Follow-up exploration will comprise trenching and drilling programs to test the mineralised system.
